Lapa Rios Ecolodge
Lapa Rios is a pioneer in the ecotourism movement, and is world-renowned for its rainforest protection and social programs, guided tours and local employment policies all of which have contributed to an extensive list of awards, including its listing as a National Geographic Unique Lodge of the World. VIDA was first engaged in 2010 alongside HM Design and continued to be involved for several years to maintain the property’s market position as a leader in nature-based travel. These projects included the design and planning of two additional villas, developing a masterplan for the lodge core to expand the food & beverage offering and create value by adding external spaces for guests, as well as the planning and design of employee housing, service facilities and administration offices. The lodge continues to provide unique, nature-based experiences to its guests and is home to incredible biodiversity and scenery.
