Dorado Beach Ritz-Carlton Reserve
Following the destruction left by Hurricane Maria, VIDA was invited to work with the Dorado Beach development team on the recovery of the external areas of the Ritz-Carlton Reserve’s Dorado Beach Hotel, Puerto Rico. The 1400 acre resort community was founded by Laurence.S.Rockefeller in the 1950s and went on to become one of the premier hotels and resort communities of the Caribbean. Working to some high expectations, VIDA guided the team through several working sessions on site to create a landscaping strategy that could be sourced and installed in the ambitious timeframe. Nothing good comes easy though, and through a number of site visits, plant sourcing trips to Florida and beyond, as well as many sketches, diagrams and phone calls, the project was delivered and the clients (and guests) were pleased.
"Matt and team have not only helped us envision and master plan new projects and create new outdoor spaces that add significant value to our existing properties, they helped us restore the lushness and beauty of Dorado Beach following Hurricane Maria."
