The Technical Manager will lead VIDA’s technical vision, standards, and quality control across all projects. This role is responsible for elevating and standardizing workflows, ensuring technical excellence in documentation, and mentoring teams to deliver work that meets VIDA’s standards of creativity, precision, and performance.

This role is suited to a technically strong and detail-oriented professional who excels at transforming conceptual design into precise, coordinated, and construction-ready documentation. As a senior-level position, this role requires an advanced, working command of ArchiCAD. Proficiency is essential.

Qualifications 
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture, Landscape Architecture, or a related field
  • 10+ years of professional experience in Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Planning, or Urban Design
  • Advanced / Expert-level proficiency in ArchiCAD (mandatory)
  • Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and LandFX
  • Demonstrated experience leading Design Development (DD), Construction Documentation (CD) and On-Site Construction phases
  • Proven experience implementing and maintaining technical standards across teams
  • Fully bilingual in English and Spanish (spoken and written)
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Experience training and mentoring technical staff
  • International experience preferred
The Role 

The Technical Manager will lead and oversee the design team in developing comprehensive documentation from schematic design through construction. This role ensures technical excellence, accuracy, coordination, and consistency across all project stages, maintaining full alignment with VIDA’s design and documentation standards. Applications without demonstrated expertise in ArchiCAD will not be considered.

  • Establish, standardize, and maintain company-wide technical procedures and workflows
  • Lead and oversee all ArchiCAD standards, templates, and BIM protocols
  • Ensure consistency and quality across Design Development and Construction Documentation
  • Lead quality control reviews at key project milestones
  • Serve as final technical authority prior to project issuance
  • Lead technical coordination across international teams and consultants
  • Ensure documentation standards meet international construction practices
  • Foster a culture of technical rigor, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Lead by example in precision, efficiency, and documentation excellence
  • Support and mentor project teams to strengthen technical execution
  • Train staff in ArchiCAD best practices and documentation standards
  • Coordinate across platforms including ArchiCAD, AutoCAD, and LandFX
  • Collaborate with design leads to ensure technical feasibility aligns with design intent
  • Review company hardware and recommend technical standards for new equipment
