Qualifications 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture or a Master’s Degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited college or university
  • 8+ years of professional practice in Landscape Architecture, Land Planning or related fields
  • Experience in ArchiCAD, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite is required. Experience with Sketchup, Morpholio, and LandFX are a plus
  • Must be well versed in Site Grading, Technical Detailing, Permitting, Construction Documentation, and Construction Administration
  • Experience with proposal writing
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and budget time accordingly
  • Fluency in English is a must. Ability to speak Spanish or willingness to learn is a plus
The Role

VIDA is looking for a dynamic leader with proven experience managing complex landscape architecture projects. The role requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate will have expertise in balancing creative vision with technical and financial project requirements.

  • Assist the Director in identifying and qualifying new leads, ensuring they align with VIDA’s values and objectives. Conduct initial calls with potential clients to assess their needs and determine project suitability. After internal discussions, collaborate with the Design Director and/or Senior Designer to draft compelling project proposals.

  • Oversee design management for ongoing projects, ensuring efficient workflow and resource allocation. Maintain a thorough understanding of studio capacity, staff expertise, and weekly workload to set realistic deadlines and assign tasks effectively. Clear and consistent communication with clients is essential to ensure project goals and objectives are met.
  • Participate and lead VIDA Sessions, acting as a bridge between the client and the team. Ensure effective communication, align goals and expectations with VIDA’s standards, and deliver outcomes that reflect the company’s core values and reputation.
  • Financial Management: oversee project budgets, resource allocation, and financial performance to ensure profitability.
  • Team Development: Mentor and inspire junior team members, fostering professional growth and collaboration.
