The Design Manager will be responsible for shaping and guiding our studio’s design direction, ensuring projects align with our ethos of innovation and sustainability. Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Architecture, or related field

  • 10-15+ years of experience in a leadership role within a Landscape Architectural studio

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating creative and technical expertise in landscape architecture

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and presentation skills

  • Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, ArchiCAD, LandFX)

  • Ability to balance big-picture thinking with attention to detail

  • Experience working with high-profile clients is a plus

  • Language Requirements: Proficiency in English is required. Spanish language skills are a plus.

  • Be able to adapt to VIDA’s philosophy and design standards.

  • Define and execute the creative vision for the studio’s landscape architectural projects from concept to construction.

  • Oversee conceptual development, design strategy, and project execution.

  • Mentor junior and mid-level designers, providing guidance and professional development.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact with clients, consultants, and public agencies.

  • Ensure design excellence and consistency across all projects.

  • Develop and maintain brand identity and visual storytelling for the studio.

  • Stay ahead of industry trends and integrate innovative practices into design work.

  • Participate in business development activities including interviews and networking.
